That being said, I know the limits of my own vanity, which means that as soon as I get the go-ahead from the ophthalmologist, I’m going to slip quietly back into my usual routine.

Anyways, when you consider that the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west, and travels in a relatively straight arc across the sky in its day’s journey, it should follow that if you are driving a car in one direction, the sun is shining in on one side, and when you drive back in the opposite direction, the sun is shining in on the other side.
