I had amazing ahi tuna sashimi last night with dinner, and I had it again tonight, because I went back to the same restaurant. I do not regret this duplication in the least. It’s good food.
I got some roasted chestnuts from a street vendor tonight, on a whim, because they smelled really good, and they’re actually really good - I quite like them. I was expecting them to be crunchy, but they’re actually sort of soft, very chewy, and I like the flavour of them. This may be because I had absolutely no preconceived notions about how they should taste - other people in my group weren’t thrilled with them because they were expecting them to be salty. I think this means that the bag is pretty much mine. Om nom nom.
I’ll give you one more hint - this city has the largest Japanese population in Canada!
